Route 4001
Leiden Keukenhof

Sailing route 4001
Sailing route for 4 days to Leiden and Keukenhof

Woubrugge – Braassemermeer – Kagerplassen – Leiden – Woubrugge

Visit the Keukenhof from Lisse or Leiden, the nicest and most colorful day out! A unique and unforgettable experience!

Day 1
(1 hour sailing)

Depending on the time of arrival, you have the option to spend the night free of charge in our own harbor or on the Braassemermeer.

The Braassemermeer is a water area where it is pleasantly busy, especially during summer days. The Braassemermeer is a true Valhalla for active water sports enthusiasts. The vast majority of water sports enthusiasts, young and old, sail in optimists and Valken. The Braassemermeer is also a place where surfing is possible in all possible ways. At De Hemmen you can spend the night on the island.

Day 2
(3 hours sailing)

Sail across the Braassemermeer and the Kagerplassen to Leiden and enjoy the many windmills in the landscape that are clearly visible from the water. If you do not arrive too late in the day, you can moor virtually in the center of Leiden.

Leiden has 35 courtyards, almost all of them in the city centre. These courtyards are all idyllic places, where the noise of the city is shut out and where it seems as if time has stood still. In the evening you can enjoy the terraces and nightlife in the center of Leiden.

From Leiden, Keukenhof is also very easily accessible with the special Keukenhof Express Bus (854) from Leiden Central Station.

Day 3
(3 hours sailing)

This morning you can go to Keukenhof. In more than 20 flower shows, 500 flower growers present cut flowers and potted plants in all their variety. From Leiden you can also visit Keukenhof with the Keukenhof Express.

Make sure you are back in time to sail for a few more hours towards our base in Woubrugge. You can spend the night here in our own harbor or nearby on the Braassemermeer.

Day 4
(3 to 4 hours sailing)

Today you return the boat neatly and empty to our base in Woubrugge. When you officially return on Monday morning, you can also hand in the boat on Sunday afternoon between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

If you still have plenty of time today before you have to return the boat, you can consider sailing to Alphen aan den Rijn.
