Woubrugge originated on both sides of the Woudwetering water. Due to the presence of the lakes in the immediate vicinity of Woubrugge, we are located in the most water-rich area of the Netherlands, in the middle of the Green Heart of the Netherlands, an ideal starting point to view the Netherlands by boat.
The village church in Woubrugge is a striking appearance. Beautifully situated on the Woudwetering and recognizable from afar thanks to the twelve-sided tower with a slender spire. This Dutch Reformed church was built in 1652-1653 after a design by architect Pieter Post. The church was restored in 2014 because the foundation piles were rotten. https://www.rondomkaagenbraassem.nl/
