Day 1
(3 hours sailing)

Sail across the Braassemermeer and the Kagerplassen to Leiden and enjoy the many windmills in the landscape that are clearly visible from the water. If you do not arrive too late in the day, you can moor virtually in the center of Leiden.
Leiden has 35 courtyards, almost all of them in the city centre. These courtyards are all idyllic places, where the noise of the city is shut out and where it seems as if time has stood still. In the evening you can enjoy the terraces and nightlife in the center of Leiden. From Leiden, Keukenhof is also very easily accessible with the special Keukenhof Express Bus (854) from Leiden Central Station.

Day 2
(3 hours sailing)

Today you will sail a short distance back on the Oude Rijn and the Rijn-Schiekanaal, turning into the Vliet towards the Vlietland water sports, recreation and nature reserve. Vlietland started as a sand extraction area in 1970 and is formed by three lakes surrounded by forests, creeks, sunbathing meadows and a park-like landscape.

Day 3
(3 to 4 hours sailing)

The historic city of The Hague is the capital of the province of South Holland, the center of Dutch politics. You can also enjoy culinary delights, there are many museums, shops or go to the beach.
We recommend WSV de Vlietstreek if you go to The Hague. WSV de Vlietstreek is located in the Binckhorsthaven in The Hague. From the Rijn-Schie kanaal it is only a few hundred meters to the entrance of the Binckhorsthaven. All facilities are available at the port and there is a good public transport connection to the center of The Hague and The Hague Central Station. Passers-by are always welcome, you can choose a berth with a green sign.

If you prefer to go to Delft, you can sail a little further on the Delftse Vliet and through the Rijn-Schie Canal. The (Passantenhaven) office of the local marina is located on the Hooikade/Zuidkolk. Delft is known for its Delft blue, the murder of Willem van Oranje, the Old and New Church, etc.

Day 4
(4 to 5 hours sailing)

Today you sail to Rotterdam on the Delftse Vliet – the Rijn-Schie Canal – Delfse Schie towards Nieuwe Maas. Rotterdam is bursting with innovative architecture, art, culture and design, but also has a large and varied range of shops, attractions, festivals, restaurants and parks. Rotterdam is a city that you can discover again and again. A nice harbor is the Veerhaven, where the historic fleet is also located.

Day 5
(about 5 hours sailing)

Today you can continue sailing on the Nieuwe Maas and the Hollandse IJssel to Gouda. In Gouda you can spend the night in the middle of the city. Visit the Cheese Waag and Craft Museum, Museumgouda, the City Hall or the St. Janskerk. If you have the opportunity to be in Gouda on a Thursday morning, you might also visit the traditional cheese market (April – August).
